Bandit seat conversion Empty Bandit seat conversion

Hi All,

Scored an MJM converted Bandit seat, like new, from a wreckers, bargain!  Great seat, better than a Corbin or a Sargeant on mates bikes, especially the pillion seat.  MJM are at Goulborn in NSW, here is a link to their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mjm-Custom-Motor-Bike-Seats/1379613235607230

He does good work, got mine from an member on here at a very good price.  Missus finds this model much more comfortable than the Holeshot Corbin, I don't mind it for shorter runs, but prefer the Corbin on longer trips, its about an inch lower which is probably what makes it a better sitting position for me.

I was just looking at the pics above when I thought "what? That's got a car tyre on the back..."  then I saw the side car mounts.  Never seen a Bandit outfit before

Barry , do you run a shorter chain on yours ?......................I've changed mine a couple of times with the correct number of links & have never had that much adjustment .

I just had mine changed before I left to go west. I thought shit there's not much adjustment left. I figured the mechanic here might have matched length instead of number of links. I asked the mechanic in WA, he said it looked normal to him.

Chain and back cog is standard, front cog is a 17.

I put it on as I thought I might need a bit more down low as I'm carrying a lot more weight than standard.  Trouble is I've lost a bit of fuel economy as I'm revving more at highway speeds, so not sure if I should revert back.

I wondered how you went with that, seemed like more than 1/2 the adjustment was gone from new when we were looking at it.

Well if someone know the number of links it's meant to be I'll sit down and count them one day.

It's 118 , but mine is the same ( and I counted them ), both this time and last time ......It doesn't seem an issue though as the chain was replaced with a tight spot 35 - 40 thousand km and still had some adjustment left
(you would think that it must be worked out that when the distance between the pins are at replacement point , the chain would be out of adjustment )
