Finally! Got myself a Bandit!
After looking for a few months, i have finally settled on a 2011 Bandit. I get the bike tomorrow and other the a scratched front fender it seems to be blemish free. Service on the cards, together with fork oil, brake fluids, front pads and a new front tire.
I have a question regarding the front. The current tires are PR3s, the rear seems ok and has a few thousand k left before a change is required, but the front is really weird, It is worn more on the right side then the left and I think I should change it. I would like to go with PR4s eventually but would like to just change the front for now. Do you folks think that will be ok? PR4 up front and PR3 in the back.

Worn on the right is normal, it come from the camber of the roads, if the previous owner has been running recommended tyre pressures in the front along with scalloping it would possibly look worse, since I've been running 2-3 psi higher it hasn't been as noticeable.
As for tyre brands, there are plenty of topic on that, try the search engine up top on the RHS. personally I wont us PR3 or 4's again, others love them, I thought the 3's were ok, and the 4's a complete disappointment, each to their own though.

If not the PRs - what would you recommend? The search function seem to indicate the PRs being the favs, hence the question of a 4 up front and a 3 in the rear.
I run Scorpion Trail 2 on my Strom and love em but those are 80/20 tires.

Like I said, type tyres into the search engine
https://nswbandits.forumotion.net/search?search_keywords=Tyres
I love my current Dunlops
Some others share my opinion, others don't

Re: Finally! Got myself a Bandit!
i have used PRs from the 2s to the 4s since ive had my bandit never had a problem no puntures and have also run a 3 with a 4 with no problems, usually get 28000 to 32000ks from a front and 24000 to 28000ks from a rear, the 4s seem to wear better than the 3s did,
front pressure 37psi, rear pressure 42psi, you will always get that wear pattern from the slope of the road.
