Half the price of the Honda. Because the Busa is a 1340cc, it falls into the cheaper category by 15cc.....Makes so much sense.

I like the look of it Cam. I sold the 2008 Fireblade because it was going to extinguish my licence - are you more self disciplined?  bom

I dont think ill need to turbo mine.
I have much more discipline than i used to so hopefully ill keep the licence intact.
It was the colour i was after from the start. Not many around for sale. Nearly purchased a black and red one, then the above came up so i jumped on it. One owner, 23,000km. not a scratch on it.

Congratulations on a scoring a great ride.  If you can hack the seating/reach geometry, you should love it.

That's a lot of bike for the money.  Similar to secondhand Bandits in that regard.

Tempting, really.  Just for a little while.

I must say that one of the most fun I've had on my Bandit was in the company of a friend on his Busa.  We were both loaded for a weekend away, so we were a little more bulky and less "flickable", but the traffic was heavy and slow, and we were making great time.  Too good really.  After one 40 k stretch, we did have to stop and wait for the others, who just couldn't overtake anything.  Coming back, we took an alternate route.  Both of us rode our own rides and only caught the occasional visual.  Would re-establish contact only through noticing the other refuelling somewhere.  The others? Well they went their own way.  Never saw them again - different route, different destination.

I am seriously tempted at times to own one "just for a while".  Where the scrutiny is off, I can see they would be a LOT of fun, most other times would be a waste.  In that regard, I think the Bandit is a much more practical ride.  The Busa is a VERY quick bike that just begs to be ridden fast.  My friend claims it has no vices but plays hard with his body. - the riding position is a problem for him. He is quite tall.

I took forward to hearing of your first hand comparisons Cameron.

Agreed, it`s a good looking bit of kit.

I`ve only ridden one Busa, a Gen1 6yrs ago. For life, right now for me, is totally out of the question...my body can`t cope with the position for a long distance ride. 200km blat would be alright,  but from Gladstone to Phillip Is and back, via the pick of roads in Aus, maybe up to 10 000km`s return trip....no way.
But your young(you lucky thing you), you shouldn`t have too many ailments, I`d do be doing the same thing.

I`d like to take the Gen2 Busa 1340cc for a romp. I`ve taken a B-King for a cane, and from all readings, has more low down torque than the Busa.  I got to say, I wasn`t really prepared for the torque of the B-King, it`s got "shit" loads of it..very addictive. I wasn`t too impressed with the top end power, but it`s meant as a torque, and I like it for that. it`s an ugly sucker though, with a small fuel tank, so I could never own one of those.

Happy riding mate!!!
Give plenty of reports!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a whole new level of motorcycle i have never owned before.
The power is sensational. The suspension glides over bumps. Not as stiff as i was expecting. I find it pretty comfortable. Good seat. Riding position is ok for me. I took it for a ride yesterday and zero pain. Only thing i need is a double bubble screen. The factory screen covers the gauges so i cant see the speedo.
Through the twisties it feels so much lighter than it actually is. Its heavier than the CB1300 i just sold, but feels half the weight.

I have riden a Bking and i loved it. I find the busa more comfortable though. It hard to compare to the bandit. The Busa is better in everyway, though new they are nearly $10,000 more.

I cant see myself on anything else ever again. Except a Gen 3 when they come out.
I have a 4 day ride in August so ill give another report after a long weekend in the saddle and 2500km.

As much as i love the BKing, the bars make me feel a little cramped. The busa is perfect for me.
Though i still plan to own a bking one day.
Ride one, but make sure its through the twisties. Its a whole different bike.
