Here's my rant for the day ( and it's been a while coming but I can't hold it in any longer ).
What really pisses me off are blokes that say G'day to you with all the pleasantries but totally ignore your significant other as though they are not there. Get some manners fellas, it's not that hard. Couples are a package deal, if you can't be arsed saying hello to my other half, then don't bother saying hello to me either! Thankyou. ( and this is NOT directed at anyone on this forum of course. It's just a general observation that has pissed me off for years ) Smile.

I always say hello to the partners, but don't always shake the ladies hands. Don't know why, just seems awkward.
But not strange to "kiss" a well known friends wife as a greeting

I have seen the lack of acknowledgment of partners but only on very rare occasions, so long since I've seem it I couldn't say when it was

Yeah, with my female family, friends and work colleagues I've almost been abused for offering a hand shake rather than a hug and kiss
I like doing a hand shake with the ladies of just grabbing the fingers and not a full guys palm on palm rigorous shake- but that's just me.

Yep I always shake the ladies hand if first meeting them but it's a Gday after that.
