So..very close friends of my parents, best friends in fact, for over 60 years, which I consider to be my second parents, Charlie and Margret(I`ll give their names for reference)

Charlie`s brother in law, Hue, which I have met several times in life, has always been a motor enthusiast. Has owned several Porsches, and the likes of, plus multiple bikes of all breeds. The last ride I did with him, was in the mid 90`s, and haven`t had much contact with him since,(life gets in the way) but we still have a good rapport.  I had heard through the grape vine, about 5 years ago, he`d bought, (as it was put to me), some Suzuki, like Barry sheen use to ride...a 250cc two stoke?????   I`m thinking, what are they talking, so it`s been in the back of my mind, all this time, not knowing what they were talking about. Suspicions only.

A family member just bought a Bandit on the weekend, and said, lets go and visit Hue.
He was straight into heaping shit on Bandit`s, as his humour is, and as I remember.   Hue is now in his early 70`s, and still rides like in his early 20`s.
So I had to ask.."what`s this bike you got" ??   "A real bike he says..lets go for a walk"

Aaahhh...it`s an RG 500.   So straight away, I asked for the keys, he said, "you can`t.. I started to seize a piston 3 days ago, cause while doing maintenance, i didn`t put an oil line on properly, to one of the pistons, and two strokes don`t like that"

But he said once it`s fixed, we`ll all go for a ride.
He says:  Idles at 3000rpm, not a great deal under 6500rpm, then doubles its power from 6500-7000, and is a prick to ride on corners, for the said facts.

I don`t know if I`m going to be disappointed when that time comes after the ride, or massively excited with the experience. But it will happen.. just a matter of time.

Still can`t wait though!!!!

I`m thinking the same!!!!

It has adjustable suspension, in some form. Wet weight, with a full tank of fuel, that a being 22L tank, I think is 150kg, as being told to me, with 100 RWHP.

I sat on it, and it feels very very light. It felt as light as a push bike after riding the Bandit, and a fairly comfortable position too, not cramped or annoying by any means.

Razor blades for tyres, so that could be interesting???

That's awesome!  I used to own a Yamaha RZ500 which was great to ride but by all reports the RG was a better bike again. Very collectible too
