Thinning out the stable.
If anyone wants a whole bike as spares or a good drag bike or track this bike is perfect.

I'm doing the same thing Ironman. Sounds like Gus is downsizing as well. We found that many times we just can't be bothered putting all the gear on, to go riding in uncomfortably hot weather or wet weather. And then there was the cost of having too many bikes in the shed. So far I've sold the Fireblade and the old XS850. I'm taking the XVS1100 cruiser to Cowra on Friday to exchange it for cash (a price has been settled on so I'm hoping he doesn't pull out for some reason). Bev doesn't want me to be totally bike free so I'm keeping the Bandit (and with 87,000kms on it it wouldn't bring much anyway). But the TRX850 is also up for sale. One bloke was pretty keen on it but he had to to head off to the UK and isn't back until Mar 11th. He may have lost interest by then. We've spent the money from the bike sales wisely - on a BMW 125i convertible (a bit of a hairdresser's car I'll admit, but it'll keep the missus happy as we can do o/night trips and be able to carry a few more things than we could on the XVS1100). Should get it Sat or next week.

The Spyder makes a whole lot more sense now, it was a stepping stone from bikes to this

It was exactly that Chook. We did discuss a sports car at the time before buying the Spyder - and went the wrong way - a really bad decision as it turned out.  But more recently, I was going to buy an MT-10 with selling the Bandit and the other bikes but sense prevailed. And the Beemer (2nd hand of course) cost just a smidge more than a MT-10 fully optioned for touring. And James has promised he'll still invite me on rides, even if I don't have hairdresser qualifications. Keeping the Bandit makes sense - it looks good in photos but is basically worthless and heading further south with every k I put on it. Wink

no its all good.
it actually is good to talk about changes in priority.
you are dead right about values of used bikes.
bandits are basically worthless ive found from speaking with many people wanting to pay me shit all for my two b12s recently.
and they were great bikes the pair of them. but alas the older they get, the better they were especially looking at all the new bikes nowadays.
im enjoying the adventure tourer style of riding. had it up to here with the shitmixer crowd with their kevlar singlet, footy shorts and bullet proof thongs motorcycle protective wear, 1 square milimeter size rapidly flashing led inducators showing their misguided intentions of mass single swoop multiple lane changes in near peak hour traffic at easily court appearance speeds.
ahem..sorry
my old fart rant pills ran out today...

I'm thinking club rego is the go . The latest model bikes are doing nothing for me .
I have my eye on a Laverda , if that comes about its sell just about everything to pay for it .
Ive been chasing it for about 4 weeks now but can not get a answer if it for sale . Just a " I might sell it ".
I'm bored with day trips ,there is only so many time you can do your local area .

He is probably hoping that you desperately want it and you'll pay whatever he wants for it.

Him "yeah I might sell it" (thinking "for the right price")

From what I've heard/seen, it's a hell of a lot easier up there than down here in the (real) sunshine state

With the sudden reduction of speed limits on some of our best bike roads in Vic I'm thinking my next bike might have to be a Honda Grom Mad

Your Government has been talking to ours then?

A lot of our 100kmh limits in the Hills were dropped to 80 (or less) 10 or so years ago

What about this FJ1200 Gus - nice colour, but then I'm partial to the black and gold. Kms are rubbish and needs clarifying.

Odometer could be spot on Ewok, only goes to 99,999km

either + 8084 or + 108083 sounds quite feasible

Those little things look like a bit of fun and highly customizable aswell
Seen a heap of them a couple months back cruizing down the great ocean road and it just looked fun (another road they dropped the speed limit ) but at 6'6" it might be a bit cramped  lol!

I wouldn't be eligible for historic reg in NSW for quite a few years. At least you'd belong to a select club of MZ owners (is that a good or a bad thing?).  cheers
