Re: Rear Shock
No wonder my old girlfriend hated the rear pegs that were mounted on the swingarm of my old XL500, nearly lost her on a couple of train crossings
Re: Rear Shock
Rock steady images just go to show how good it is.

Re: Rear Shock
It was nothing to do with the bike , it's actually two separate subjects / the first is about the bike ..........The second part is when he was tying her to the train tracksmadmax wrote:Chook wrote:No wonder my old girlfriend hated the rear pegs that were mounted on the swingarm of my old XL500, nearly lost her on a couple of train crossings

Re: Rear Shock
Serious. Older trail bikes had the rear footpegs mounted to the swing arm, your pillions legs were like a extra set of shockers, a couple of times I hit train crossings and other larger bumps, her knees ended up around her ears (nothing wrong with that, just not the right place for it), once I think her feet went past her ears and she nearly dragged me of the bike as she held on for dear lifemadmax wrote:Chook wrote:No wonder my old girlfriend hated the rear pegs that were mounted on the swingarm of my old XL500, nearly lost her on a couple of train crossings

Re: Rear Shock
No chance of that, I was 19, she was younger and she was very very very good, there was no way I was going to harm her on purpose
Re: Rear Shock
There i was thinking it was a home made modification.
Never seen a trail bike with pillion pegs before

Re: Rear Shock
A mate of mine had a dt400 with pegs like that of the swinger. They were horrible, I think they were made to discourage pillions

You didn't care as a rider, but for a pillion they absolutely sucked!
