New member from NZ

Post  Magnum on Mon 27 Jun 2016, 4:31 pm

Hi forum members. I live in Hamilton, NZ. Am thinking I fit the classic mid (or late) life crisis bloke returning to motorcycling after 40 years. Have just bought a 2006 Bandit 1200S, 56,000 km. Was unsure when last serviced and seems to be running well now with new plugs, air filter and lube. Have replaced brake and clutch fluids.
I had a good look at bike options and thought I'd be buying an R series BMW but realised how much value-for-money the Bandit offers. Am well pleased. And, more importantly my dear wife has enjoyed a couple of short rides as pillion. I have been enjoying trawling through this forum. There's a serious wealth of great information from some very experienced folk.

Welcome aboard Magnum. Did you have to sell the GTB to buy the Bandit? Lol! Wink

Welcome. Glad to hear you've read through the crap and found a few gems of info. They are a good bunch of people on here even if some of them have moved onto other bikes Smile

Kia ora. Good choice.
NZSpokes is from over your way and is on a 1200 also. You'll find he pops up on our facebook page from time to time.
