I'd recommend you do the hard yards (topic search/reading), there has been a lot of trial and error from others, would be best to read their advise/findings

I typed screen in the search, here's the link

+ 1 to Chook's comment . The opinions on the best screen are also varied even for people of similar size  ..............(even your helmet and protective gear can have some impact on your screens effectiveness )

I agree. For what its worth a taller screen may not be the answer.
Lets assume someone I know owns a fully faired bike and a naked and finds the naked much less noisier around the helmet that the one fitted with a great weather protection screen.
Lets also assume I know someone who owns a quiet leather jacket and a noisy textile jacket when used on the same bike.

The trouble is it is different for everybody. Good luck finding a solution.

I'm 6' 2" and changed the standard 1250S screen for a Givi, which if I can remember right, was 14cm longer. That was heaps worse as all of the air directly hit me on the helmet or under it. I had to remove it and sold it on. I've run with the standard one ever since.

More recently I bought a Yamaha XVS1100 in Sydney and rode it back down to the NSW far south coast. It had an aftermarket screen on it that was producing virtually the same effect as the Givi did on the Bandit. So I took it off and run the XVS naked.  There is far less buffetting without the screen on it and I won't be putting another one on.

I think being tall is a disadvantage here but one of those MRA vario ones might (and I'm cautious about even using that term) work.  cheers

Seriously though I put a powerbronze double bubble on my GSX. It suit me but then i'm only 5'9. Standard screen had the air hitting me under the helmet, trying to lift it off my head. The double bubble lifts it up to just on the top of the helmet.

As everyone else has said its all down to personal preference and trial and error

best advise as above, MM picture best way to go if you want a quiet ride, Very Happy  you can also fit a windjammer to the bottom of your helmet and get good fitting or custom made ear plugs

There are two different issues at play with the screen, buffeting and noise, it will be quite rare to find a solution to both problems just by changing the screen itself.

As mentioned by others, helmet, seat height, jacket, your height, neck roll/brace, and a myriad of other factors come into play.  I've solved buffeting with an MRA (my third screen) but noise is an issue especially if I'm not wearing earplugs (which I should anyway).

One thing for certain if you go down the screen replacement route, you get very good at fitting them without loosing the well nuts.
