Adjustable Rearset for GSX1250FA - want to raise an inch
G'day all,
I've tried searching the web and forum unsuccessfully for a RearSet option for a 2011 GSX1250FA. Basically I want to just raise them an inch. The only option I've come across is to get someone to mill something specifically for me, but have been warned that could be complicated by how long linkages / cables are.
Please be aware I'm completely unmechanical, so forgive me if there is an obvious solution or I'm not being specific enough.
I'm really sick of grinding my pegs at Eastern creek - the hero nobs disappeared long ago.
Thanks!!

Re: Adjustable Rearset for GSX1250FA - want to raise an inch
TThanks so much for the quick reply, and the welcome message Paul!! Clearly my googling needs some work! I guess the thing I haven't been certain of is is the FA mechanically the same as the 1250 bandit? No part sites ever list the FA. Maybe this would have been a more sensible first question.
Does the ABS on the FA have any impact on rearsets? Does the 1250 Bandit have ABS?
With the 2nd link you've provided, they just move the actual footpegs but not the controls?? I assume that would become quite awkward?
Thanks!!

This may help .
https://nswbandits.forumotion.net/t3691-bandit-1250-vs-gsx-1250-fa
The gsf comes in both ABS or non ABS up until the last couple of years & I think now they are all ABS . I don't have rearsets so some more investigation ( maybe the supplier ) may be needed.

A lot of the FA is straight from the 1250 Bandit, front plastics being the main difference. Try this site for your part numbers , it does list the 2011 GSX1250FA in both US and Foreign models:
Alpha Sports
And yes the ABS was on the earlier 1250's but not on all of them, i.e. my07 1250S does not have it so the Busa shock was an easy change over, with the ABS model you might need to go to a remote reservoir after market type shock, use the search function up in the top right to find some good write up in here on the subject of suspension.
And BTW welcome.

It was still optional on 2011 models, pretty sure 2012 was as wellbarry_mcki wrote:

Re: Adjustable Rearset for GSX1250FA - want to raise an inch
Have the Gilles Racing rearsets (AS31GT style), and while they are beautifully made and would certainly deliver the required inch (plus more) I find the actual pegs a bit short and my feet slip off occasionally. This improved when the CF guard was removed but I'd be happier if they were 5mm longer.
Sato racing seem to have some nice ones http://www.satoracing.com/rearsets_suzukibandit1250.htm ,personally I'd steer clear of the eBay knock-offs, but I am a bit fussy out my controls, particularly at the track.
Cheers Peter
