I give up 2WA , what is the Merci tag next to the multiple citation & quote button for ? It seems to thank everyone who posted in the topic , not just the person whose post you thanked 
Is this the way it should work ?
Scrub that question , I got it now................. it is only the person who started the thread who has the Merci button & is given the opportunity to thank the other posters who contributed to the thread / answered a question etc .
