Sydney storms and Southern heatwave
I hope everyone on here avoided the storms in Sydney yesterday, just from the TV footage they looked devastating and I'm sure they were much worse in real life.
Anyone living in SA or Vic, drink plenty of water and try and keep out of the heat if you can. This heatwave is forecast to be the most consecutive December days of 40 deg + that has ever been recorded in Adelaide, if you've got elderly friends/neighbours/relatives, don't forget to drop in and check on them (I hope your family doesn't forget about you paul )
Take care where ever you are, I'm about to head out in this for the most of next 10 hours, I am lucky to get a 20-30 min reprieve in a AC office every 1- 1 1/2 hrs
Adelaide so far this week, Mon 36, Tues 35.5, Wed 41
The rest of the week's forecast, Today 42, Fri 41, Sat 42 (that's 107.6F for our US members)
I'm just waiting for Sunday's "cool" change, 30 (86F) is going to feel like a winter break after this
This is the sort of weather we normally don't get until Feb/March, if it get's worse by then I'll be leaving Adelaide early for the WSBK's and taking 3 or 4 days to ride over instead of 2

Anything over 35 is torture on the bike, it's like riding into a hair drier . I got booked a couple of years ago on my way home from work. The asshole cop made me stand in full sun for 20 minutes whilst he wrote me a ticket for 9 over and $100 no demerits. Make sure top keep hydrated Paul and take it easy

Re: Sydney storms and Southern heatwave
It was 43 when I left work to come home, strangely it didn't feel that bad even when I was stuck at a train crossing (in the shade of a tree) for about 4 or 5 minutes.
11km from home to work, 5 km from City to home, city is still 40 but it's only a pleasant 32 at home
