Anyone dealt with MotorcycleHouse?
keen to hear of any experiences about these guys
Luggage people
My wife just got herself an S40 Boulevard. She wanted luggage and didnt want the whole blingy, tassley thing a lot of cruisers have. After a lot of searching and asking at local shops and online we came on Viking Bags Viking. They offered hard mounted, lockable, waterproof saddlebags that looked the part and the money was acceptable. They advised using their Australian outlet (first link above)
I had some issues with the ordering system but got there. They offer shipping to NZ as a standard option and a fair price given the Tasman is such an expensive bit of water to cross! They also promise shipping out in 1-3 days and delivery takes a few days more. A couple of weeks out and I still cannot get a tracking number and their online chat guys have admitted there is a problem but cant (or won't!) help and I have been promised two phone calls now, neither of which has happened.
Anyone know of this company or had any experience with them? Supposedly the warehouse is based in Sydney. I used my credit card so if I have been diddled I have the protection of the my card to fall back on but clearly I would rather have my bags.

If your present deal goes sour I suggest you look at throw over panniers, textile, pretty waterproof and cheap starting at $100 for the pair.
When not needed, leave them at home.
All sizes and brands like RJays and Ogio come to mind
Also no woman could resist a Givi Tank Lock bag, up to 25 litres for around $200 including tank ring

Re: Anyone dealt with MotorcycleHouse?
well, after ordering on 12th November, the stuff was on my front door step yesterday when I came home. Their website says shipping in 1-3 days. So that's a wee bit under 3 weeks from Sydney to outside Wellington, NZ.
Today I got an email to say they had sent the bags on time but they got damaged so Australia Post returned them to the warehouse. They were going to send a replacement set as soon as they could and they should arrive before Christmas. Bit of a Twilight Zone feeling to that one......

There's something weird going on there. Aust Post wouldn't return anything damaged to the sender. That would be an admission of liability.

Maybe they stuffed up & thought they hadn't sent it & used Aust Post as an excuse .....................you may end up with another set .Ulsterkiwi wrote:well, after ordering on 12th November, the stuff was on my front door step yesterday when I came home. Re: Anyone dealt with MotorcycleHouse?
I have researched and solved the mystery of buying from Sydney.
Go to Google Maps and enter 'Sydney'
Look closely and you will find it listed in Australia as well as Nova Scotia.
It is obvious to me that our deliveries are coming from "the other Sydney" hence the delay.
