Buchanan Caves Hotel
The BCH had its concrete slab poured yesterday.
It's a huge looking slab so the new joint should be a decent size.
For those who don't know the pub is being rebuilt after a fire a few yrs ago and it's totally funded from public donations. An awesome crowd funding exercise. Why the joint wasn't insured in the first place I don't know.
We might have to organise something for the grand opening.

Re: Buchanan Caves Hotel
I'm waiting the grand reopening too, I'd propped up the bar there quite a few times before it went up in smoke,
It would be a good thing if they've built in accommodation - it was a damn steep stagger up the hill to the motel behind it.
A small point - the town is Buchan - which led to many a call of "Where's your Buchan ears", well after the Xth schooner, anyway.
Good effort on the community funding.
Oh, organise something and I'll be there like a shot

Would the hotel be operating by then I guess would be the question.

Not sure of the rebuild time lines.
