Right place, right time (or another man's misfortune.......................................)

Post  Chook on Wed 18 Nov 2015, 12:44 pm

I bumped into a bloke in Mt Gambier last week who had just purchased a 2011 Triumph Tiger 800 interstate from a bloke going through divorce, when they were negotiating a price he said he didn't care what he got because she'd get 1/2 anyway

11070km
large lockable top box and panniers (pretty sure they were Triumph),
Garmin motorcycle GPS, driving lights,
bash plates,
comfort seat etc etc,

how much you might ask..............

$3000

Pretty silly sort of thinking. She might get half but by selling it cheap his half is also smaller.

The new owner said his 1st ridiculous offer of $3K was never what he intended on paying, just a starting point. When the bloke agreed he was as stunned but couldn't do the deal quick enough.

I know a few on here have been through divorce. When I went through mine I would have been like this guy. I would have paid or done anything to get away from all that craziness.
Hope the new owner looks after the bike now lol

If he liked it, then he shouldn't have put a ring on it. Sad
