Poor lad had a big off during free practice, today at Japanese Motogp.
Hopes and prayers for him.
Conscious and breathing when they flew him by air ambulance to hospital.
Reports of eight breaks in his back, broken ribs and damage to a lung.

Who knows what happened. All I saw was a very damaged bike on the gp footage and Alex laying on the ground not moving. Hopefully it's not as bad as it sounds. Thoughts are with him and his family

He ended up about 100m up track of turn 9 after the ripple strip ends.
I think he either hit dirt after the strip or high sided.
Front end of the bike looked ok from what we saw in the recovery trailer.

Just got back to Hotel & wifi. No access to net otherwise.  Sorry for late reply.
I'm a Rossi fan and was a bit despondent when Jorge did his usual routine.
With 8 laps to go, it looked like there was no chance of anyone catching him. I'm not sure if he had a moment, but the next time around Rossi and Danny had caught right up. Then Danny showed how good he is with a beautiful move at turn ten and went on to a massive win.
Although it was damp it was a great day with great racing.
