with police also using automated number plate recognitionf technology to detect any unregistered and unroadworthy vehicles. 

so by reading a numberplate with a computer they can detect if your bike isn't roadworthy, they must be bloody good over there ffs!! Rolling Eyes

lol, At a guess I would say its detecting those vehicles that have been put off the road through some defect notice and not been cleared yet.

There never seems to be a "safety" campaign that coincides with the V8 Supercars down there or Sandown or Winton.
I feel very well protected now don't you?
