Aloha from Peachester

Post  Cardboard Tube Samurai on Sat 26 Sep 2015, 2:28 pm

Aloha! New to the Bandit family and have had my GSF1250S (blue) for about a month now. What stellar bikes they are!!! So simple yet so versatile. Slip on Staintune but otherwise stock. Will need to upgrade the seat (seems to be a common theme) but that's about all I can find fault with so far.

And where the hell is Peachester, you ask? Well that's exactly why I moved here. It's known to many motorcyclists in southeast Queensland as a bloody lovely ride though, and I certainly enjoy my commute home every day.

welcome mate..

over looking my beautiful mountain hey??

I haven`t ridden through Peachester, in a long long time.

The last time I went up that stretch of road, was when it was resurfaced back in about 1997. Everyone from all over, caned it
like there was no tomorrow.

What`s it like these days, I hope not pot hole repaired, resembling a patch work quilt?

I was wondering if you were previously a local, mtbeerwah. Still a pretty nice road although there were some nasty washouts back in March when that massive rain event hit: the one that left hundreds stranded on the flooded Bruce Hwy for most of the night and killed some folk in Caboolture. They've only just gotten around to repairing them properly but it hasn't changed the road surface too much. Was it still an 80kph zone back when you were in the area? It's been 60 as long as I can remember but apparently there was a time when it was 80, which would have made life on a bike HEAPS more fun

aahhhh....speed limit, what speed limit???

I lived Warana, in Kawana for just under 10yrs, and I used to climb the mountain for training, as well as taking multiple amounts of people up there, that had never been to it.  Never had one person complain.
I miss it pretty badly.
I still want to buy land in the area, but got to do a bit more research, as to where I really want to live.
A couple of my cousins moved to Maleny about 2yr ago, so maybe that way....something in the area anyway.
