A Bunch Of Oldies
Looks like we're a bunch of oldies.
Looking at the ages of those having a birthday next week is scary
Average age of this lot is 53 lucky that's not necessarily the maturity age

ahh..its only a number.
The only indictor is the rattly joints in the morning, which take a little bit to warm up, then I`m 20 again (just don`t look in the mirror)

Sorry for the misspelling I meant USISSIES
Had a quick peek at their website - you have got to be kidding me!!
The members of the National Committee met in Melbourne on Saturday 28th August. It is usual for the National Committee to welcome invited guests to the meeting.
Obviously, ordinary folk are not able to attend. Oh well, probably didn't miss much eh!

Re: A Bunch Of Oldies
A few people I've worked with have tried to get me to join since I was old enough to be a associate member (apparently 40 give you full membership now), sorry, not for me, too much wank, too much structure, not enough fun!BanditDave wrote:Sorry for the misspelling I meant USISSIES

Re: A Bunch Of Oldies
That's probably my fault, I told her if she was going to the National Meet she had to join the nut house, she'll be 17 next week.................17 feels like forever ago, I was riding a KLX250 and driving a XW Futura.Re-Cycled wrote:reddog wrote:I'm helping bring the average down

Worked from when I was 14, $400 for the XW (imagine that ) and $900 for a 12 month old KLX 12 months earliermadmax wrote:Chook wrote:That's probably my fault, I told her if she was going to the National Meet she had to join the nut house, she'll be 17 next week.................17 feels like forever ago, I was riding a KLX250 and driving a XW Futura.Re-Cycled wrote:reddog wrote:I'm helping bring the average down

The XW is one of those "I wish I'd kept it" cars, factory 4 speed, disc brakes and bucket seats with a 221 six (3.6L)

I was about to say that I bet you wished you still had the old girl.
Iconic car that now rates big dollars even in rusty hulk form.

Re: A Bunch Of Oldies
1968 Ford 440 Cortina - blew the motor up just outside West Wyalong Christmas of 1975 on the way home on leave, cost me my whole xmas leave pay to get another block fitted and back on the road.
Sold a 4cyl Capri rolling chassis just before we moved here to Tassie, unfortunately there were no big spenders around so only got $250 for her (rust included), was planning to shoe-horn my 460cin Ford big block into it, ahh dreams.....
