Bike Friendly Accommodation Empty Bike Friendly Accommodation

Post  Chook Fri 13 Mar 2015, 6:42 pm

After staying at a few places that really looked after us (or more so, our bikes) on the Parkes trip I thought I’d start a place for us to list accommodation that looks after bikes and their  riders.
I know a few others had some really good places to stay at on the way to Parkes as well, I'm sure there are hundreds of great places we can share.

2WA, maybe you could make this a sticky so it's easy to find for anyone heading away for a few days?

Great idea Chook, maybe we should add dollar signs like some restaurant reviews to show how relatively expensive they are, ie $ is cheap $$$ expensive.

The Bendemeer Hotel.  Top of the Oxley Hwy.  You get a "stable"  to house your bike in for the night. Don't worry. Theres no nags around and the floors are concrete.

Bordertown Hotel, Bordertown

79 East Terrace Bordertown
(08) 8752 1016

Upstairs basic pub accommadation, $40 p/n including self serve continental breakfast, comfy bed, awesome shower, friendly staff, bikes locked up securely in either a locked/alarmed or just locked shed, if you prefer there is a veranda you can leave it under.
Only downside, could do with heating in the room, only has cooling on the AC

Frances Hotel, Frances, SA

Railway Terrace Frances

(08) 87645 1093

Large motel unit with spa, $135 p/n

As above, minus the spa, $125 p/n

The second area has back packer style accommodation with either 2 single beds, or 1 single bed and a bunk bed per room. Those rooms are $50 p/n for 1 or 2 and a extra $15 if there is a 3rd staying in the room.

Behind the bunk rooms is a passage which has the bathroom facilities off the other side and leads down to a common room with lounge, TV and a fully equipped kitchen for guests to use, off of that room is a undercover outside area with a BBQ also for guests use.

Shed available to lock bikes up at night.

Also told there was plenty of shed space for bikes...

Laughing

I was going to PM you asking for that again, thank's for that.

Is there anyway of splitting it into sub topics for each state? It might make it easier to keep track if that is possible

Its probably easier and better to have an accommodation sticky under each states ride event forum.
