Re: naughty little question
Are we talking Suzuki speed of Garmin speed? Because there's a bid difference

Re: naughty little question
Well over 200 2up passing 2 double roadtrains, I stopped glancing at the speedo about the 200 mark.
I also got to 180 riding solo with the panniers on, they acted like wings and the back of the bike got very light until I backed off, scared the crap out of me
Years ago I managed to wring everything I could get out of my VX800, 205

Re: naughty little question
I would sometimes see a bit more than I should have (210ish) on the trip home from work
Across the bridge at about 100, nice sweeping right hand bend, then gun it down the 4-5km straight. As the next bridge starts getting closer and closer I would be slowing so I could do normal speeds across it before slowing/stopping for the gatehouse
Made the usual 10min ride into about a 3min ride, all on a very restricted access road mind you.
If the wind was up all bets were off and I stuck to the speed signs as sidewinds of a constant 40 knots scared the shit outa me some days

10 minute to 3 minute well id say thats impressive haha. I was 130 kilos now im 124 loosing the weight rapidly haha my incentive is every kilo i lose is a tad bit more hp hahaha and less stress on the bike

Re: naughty little question
I think my 10min:3min is like my stories of the fish I catch, but it certainly felt a whole lot quicker and far more worthwhile that pootling along

Re: naughty little question
I've seen 240 - 250 down the main straight at Eastern Creek this was with a 45T rear sprocket but corrected via speedo healer...hard to be accurate because you don't get a lot of time to look and they have been pretty strict about lap timing (understand this nay be changing with change of Ride Day operator...which has already happened).

Re: naughty little question
I saw 221 on the Garmin once and that was 245 on the speedo and that was about all she could give but I was a big bastard back then

Re: naughty little question
221 was 245? - Geez that disapoints me THAT the speedo is out that much on the Bandits.
I crank it when ever I get the chance and by the speedo have hit the 258 mark, Almost clocked it but not quite. I love my Bandit.
PS: It seems to be giving me better milage as it gets older, I just got a bit better than 19 klm per litre out of it. Very HAPPY.

did about 4 or 5 runs
best was 11.52 secs @ 195kph (121 mph)
there's a fair bit more in it if I can launch it harder
