Hello from north west WA Empty Hello from north west WA

Post  lowfly Sat 18 Apr 2015, 11:39 pm

Hi,
Looking at the 1250FA as I'm getting too old for my current bike, a Kawasaki ZX9R, killing my wrists etc.(50 now you know as my kids remind me)
I also have a Kawasaki Gpz900R and A Honda CB750K1 1970.
I have looked far and wide for the best sport tourer and bang for your buck, dismissing the VFR800 and the Triumph Sprint ST 1050 after a lengthily search. FJR and GTR too heavy and too expensive, ST1300 too heavy and too hot, cook your feet and nuts. Last Suzuki I owned was a GSX1100E and was a great bike, last one I rode was a GSX1400 and loved it except the lack of wind protection.
Anyway, enough ranting, I will be buying a GSX1250FA soon and can not wait.
Cheers

Welcome Lowfly, nice collection of bikes you've got there. The Suzuki will add to it well.

Where abouts in the northwest are you?

G'day Lowfly, welcome along.
I imagine you would save money up that way by buying nice square car tires for the bike then eh?  Very Happy

Welcome along lowfly. NW WA is along way from anywhere.  If you were ever to propose a national meet up your way, we'd have a trans-continental trip just to get there! Very Happy   cheers

Thanks Guy's,
I'm located in Carnarvon but we're planning to move down to Esperance within the next three to five years, makes it easier to to shoot across the paddock from there. Look forward to catching up with you guys in the near future. The only other guys that ride around here mainly have Harley Furgusons and dress up like they are on there way to the Gay Mardigras.
Thanks for looking.
Mark

I narrowed my search down to the VFR800 and GSF1250S also. To be honest, if a Viffer had shown up on the market at a competitive price at the same time, I reckon I'd have bought that instead but I have been blown away by just how good the Bandit is. Welcome!
