Phillip Island Super Bikes

Post  gus on Tue 03 Mar 2015, 3:39 pm

Was it just myself and Carol that thought Sundays racing was just plain FANTASTIC .
I wanted to meet up with a few people ,but, race one was so good we didn't dare leave our position ( small stand Doohan  Corner )
The sight of 4 bikes side buy side at 300kl + going in a space for one had me saying out loud " Holly Shit " more than once
Did a pit walk  ,I want a job with Aprilia . Laughing
This was real racing , give me superbikes anyday over Moto Gp .
Carnt wait till next year .

Didn't think I was going to make it after this encounter though
.

A better moment ,  our digs for the night .

Making the most of a storm .

We stayed on the Island with an mate of mine who has a Philippino  wife .She used us as guinea pigs for some very strange food . (to Us)
She thought it was very funny until I made her try Vegemite .I thought her face was going to turn inside out .

In a strange SciFi crossover, there is a photo of the Dalek and an Ewok from last year's Drake meet. Smile
