Clear Paint Protection * Non Bandit *
About 3 weeks ago I ordered 2 tank protection kits from thetankslapper.biz (US)
I'm on standby this weekend so can't go anywhere so took the opportunity to fit the kits.
It was easier than I thought.
It's something we all should consider for small change.
Here's the video.

wasn't sure how I'd go so went the cheaper option.
The 3M stuff is use once because it has an adhesive built in. The other stuff is cheap enough to replace every few yrs if you have too but it should wear well anyway.

In another part of their web site they mention their Tank Bag Kits, I believe there is a worrying disclaimer about the Tankslapper film:
"Tank Bag Kit is intended to cover the area where a tank bag would rest on your
motorcycle tank. That area of course typically surrounds the fuel inlet,
thus making the film subject to occasional fuel spills. The
"Tankslapper" static film while offered for this application, it must be
noted that it can not tolerate fuel spill. If that were to occur
the remedy would be to removed the protection piece and wash in dish
soap and reinstalled. If fuel is left to dry on the film, the film will
yellow and become brittle in time, and in some rare cases can damage
your paint as well. Any of the adhesive backed films we offer are a
safer choices when ordering a "Tank Bag Kit."
It might be worth getting the slightly more expensive XPEL type film.
Have I read this right ?

Yep I read that as well but who just yanks the nozzle out while its still dribbling fuel?
Not sure how any of them would hold up to careless fuelling?

That stuff looks like the clear " anti-graffiti" film I got from a sign writer & used on the knee pad sections of my old Yammy...............it worked well , but the film itself marked after a while & needed replacing
