Suzuki GSR800?
Ive been waiting for a long time for Suzuki to bring out a mean naked sports bike.
Yamaha got the FZ1, Honda's CB1000r and Kwaka's Z1000...but suzuki need somthing to.
I couldnt find much on it, but ive heard bit and peices about a new GSR800. I think it looks tops.
My uncle had a GSR600 a while ago, and i loved it...much like this one.

Re: Suzuki GSR800?
Personally, I'd love for Suzuki to come out with a 1000cc naked based around the GSXR1000 engine. Like the FZ1, Z1000 and CB1000.
The GSR800 (if they do it) will compete with the FZ8.

Re: Suzuki GSR800?
I have always liked the GSR 600 and now with the 800 a reality I'm wondering if it will spell the end of the "Bandit" as we kow it seeing as its almost gone a full dressed tourer.
Re: Suzuki GSR800?
i recon it might 2wa.
with less distance between cities due to more and more commuting distances as the burbs spread out, i recon there will be a move by most bike makers to have smaller capacity nakeds as these tend to be a favored style in that market because the larger capacity naked is considered too big to do the daily grind by many.

Re: Suzuki GSR800?
nor by me but i'm a big cake eater.
i know a fair few who have gone the >1000cc route only to get a 600ish bike for commuting and weekend day rides
I guess it will depend on where you live as the country riders will probably go the bigger bike, but city dwellers will go sub litre bikes i recon.

Re: Suzuki GSR800?
The point I was makng is the Bandit as we Aussies know it has changed into a tourer with the help of full fairing and softer maketing.
The GSR seems to have a bit of rogue about its looks and performance and I think that will appeal to a lot of riders regardless of where they live.
How long before only a faired "Bandit" is availale (to us) and the GSR is the naked/S version of choice?

Re: Suzuki GSR800?
In case people haven't seen it yet, here is the 2011 Suzuki GSR750:
It's based on a retuned GSXR750 and has decent looking suspension and brakes. I reckon it looks awesome except for the crappy cheap swing arm. Anyway, I'd probably swap the Bandit for one if I could afford it...
