Second new topic today, hope there isnt a limit!

I am 1.98m tall. The riding position on the GSX is pretty comfy for me but I think I would benefit from bar risers. I have checked out the cables and they look pretty tight. Has anyone put 20mm risers on their GSX? Did you need to replace brake and/or clutch cables?

Cheers

I put SW Motech barbacks on my GSF.  The top brake line is a fraction short.  They fit, but I got a line made up locally (Auto Brake and Clutch Martin Square in Wellington) which provided a bit more length.  All other lines including clutch fit fine.  Makes it a lot more comfortable.  PM me if you want to have a look at the setup as I ride into Wellington each day and the bars etc are the same as the GSX.

TSS have a set of barbacks at present and you may get away with the existing brake line.

My blog shows them fitted: http://kewwibike.blogspot.co.nz/2012/09/fitting-barbacks-to-gsf1250-bandit.html

cheers kewwig. You may know TwinCam in Paraparaumu? Randall there got me a set of 20mm risers (height only, no front or back movement) on sale or return. He put them on and goshamighty but they worked. No need for new hoses or cables. HUGE difference to the ride position. Very happy. Very Happy

I do enjoy your blog.
