Camping - Not Riding
The co-ordinator of domestic harmony has booked us a weekend awaycamping this weekend.
We were hoping for fine weather and it looks like we'll get it. But I'm not happy!.
The weather is forecast to be too good for camping and ideal for riding for the first time ever. What should I do?

Re: Camping - Not Riding
There is no such thing as too good weather for camping.
I love camping. Though i have best of both worlds. Me and a few mates often go for camping/dirt biking weekends. The best.

Yea I would pack the car, choose a spot that is friendly to road bikes and take both the car and the bike. My mrs is a gem and understands my "needs", I love camping as much as my bike

You could always take the bike , set up camp ," have " to pop into town for some supplies on the bike ................. "get lost " ........go back to camp very apologetic that evening .................repeat as necessary............If you're game

Well, depends on how many brownie points you need to accumulate and when. You've got the Alpine ride coming up and you don't want that jeopardised by playing up now!

And you made choice C way to tempting in the poll.
67% of respondents don't think for a second that you should do that but couldn't possibly resist clicking it.

Got back from a great weekend last night.
Already raised the subject of returning on a bike and Melody in the car
First order of business was viewing the sunset from Pillar Point.
Wilsons Prom would make a fantastic SBA gathering point. Multi bed lodges are available

That's about the closest point on the mainland to me, only 250kms, but not being of the feathered kind, its three times that distance by road & ferry, luckily I can sleep most of the way

Due to the overwhelming vote you received for you to put your skirt back on , I think a picture of the said event would be in order to share with your mates

I see you prefer the more sensible " modest long grass " version
