Re: Happy birthday Chook
Thanks everyone, I'm having the biggest 50th bash ever, starting with pre party drinks in North Adelaide at 3:00 then there is over 53,000 people coming to my party at Adelaide Oval tonight, I've even got some well known special guests, Jimmy Barnes and then later in the evening the Rolling Stones will be there, should be awesome!
Re: Happy birthday Chook

Adelaide is the only concert in Aus that is getting the fully imported Stadium stage, the others will all be "arena" shows.Jimmy the Boy wrote:Wow!! What a great 50th mate. Have a ball and be sure to post a review of the Stones.
52 containers carted the stage and video screens (the 2 largest ever used at a concert in Australia) into Adelaide, it took 300 people to put it all together. After tonight it's getting packed up and shipped straight over to Auckland while the Stones finish their tour.
Tonight was a sell out, (The local paper said 53,300 tickets sold, Adelaide Oval website says there were 54,115) and the crowd was warmed up for a hour by Jimmy Barnes, a few of his classics mixed with a few of his newer songs and a couple of absolute classics from Cold Chisel.
As well as Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie the 14 on fire touring band includes Chuck Leavell, Darryl Jones, Tim Ries, Karl Denton, Bernard Fowler, Lisa Fischer and Matt Clifford, we also got to see special guest Mick Taylor reunited with the band for 2 songs
The Stones played for nearly 2 hours before their encore songs, and they stretched them out for at least 15 minutes more
