ABS Sensors - Protection

Post  GGiant on Sat 05 Jul 2014, 8:31 pm

Wondering if any bandits have fitted small protective metal covers over the ABS sensors on their Bandits? They fit under the two securing bolts.

I was browsing thro' a catalogue today, and found small metal plates - very nicely manufactured - to cover the ABS sensors on the Bandits wheel hubs.

What next I thought, and went to see where they are on the Bandit. YES! they certainly look vulnerable, when I think about it. Especially if a UFO flies past as experienced by sb1250 recently. But that would be very rare.

They wouldn't be too hard to make with a bit of mucking around.

Cheers GG

Smile OKay, cancel the home-made idea. May not enhance the look of the Bandit.

It is quite amazing though how many after market 'items' are available for bikes.

Soooo was wondering if anyone sees the need for the ABS protection over the wires where they connect at the hub.

The Touratech ones are not a big seller I expect.

I think you are looking for a solution for a problem that does not exist.  Worse case you are up for a new sensor, not a biggie even at Suzuki Australia spares prices.  But if you just want bling then why not.

It could be a real problem if Marquez is passing you on a hairpin, just ask Danny. Laughing
