Re: Road markings
It would be interesting to ride a road with these markings to see what imact it has on your perception of the road width/corner etc.
Re: Road markings
I'm all for the KISS theory in most things. Start adding all these so called scientific solutions into a simple road and it will only cause more confusion. I would like to know how many of these scientists are actually bike riders. Surely their time, and OUR money could be spent on better things.

Re: Road markings
Geat idea (not) , Lets paint the road in in paint so when it rains (New Zealand remember ) they will crash before the corner lowering accidents in that
particular spot .
or
"idea" Lets make the road look narrower !===== Lets make this corner more difficult than it really is .
How do I get one of these high paid idea jobs .
Ive got one .
Lets pour oil on the road and put up a sign saying "oil on road " that will slow them down .
Bugger ,been done .with white paint !
Sound like a linemarker don't I . That's because I am one .

Re: Road markings
Same job but we realised we did more work with the linemarkers than actual traffic control . Carol always asked "how come you come home covered in white paint."?
I think the people who pay us have forgotten we exist

Re: Road markings
I wonder if this idea works better ?
And couldn't resist this one, I think it must have been when Gus was on holidays, without his direction the team sort of lost their way:
