Yep, I watched it.
They had a review on the Kwaka Z1000, Yamaha Bolt & Honda CBR 650. Only really glossed over them, but it was not too bad

Good to see another Aussie bike show. Agree with the above comments - it seemed a couple of times thst they wete not prepared to say what they really thought. I'd like to hear testers stsrt by giving the badics, eg power, torgue, weight, seat height, fuel tank capacity. Then some comments abput riding position. Then a full test inc some patched up B roads. Even how good the lights are. And fitness for purpose, particularly for afventure touring bikes. Good on someone for having a go though.

Too true, mate.
Don't forget the fat people, home renovation and batchelor shows.
Tv is woeful of late.
Pitty I missed the new show. Look forward to catching it next week.
There's also one called "Temporary Australians" on one of the dodgey channels. It's budget but pretty good viewing.

But Wait... there's more
The local producers of the free Cycle Torque magazine have branched into television.
It commences September 7 on 4ME and Aurora.

That's the same lameness that, IMO, blights all ozzie car and bike shows, and mags.
The industry is so small that they don't want to offend the distributors on which they rely by calling a spade a spade (or a piece of dog shit for that matter).

I have a mate who writes the motorcycle reviews for Gizmag in Australia.
They said unkind things about a honda years ago and havent had another to test since.
Its a pitty because they really want to test the VFR1200 (and I want to read it)!

Re: New TV Show Bike Life tonight 8.30
Saw the show last night and thought it was pretty good.
Understanding that these guys haven't been in the TV industry for years , takes a while to get comfortable and they'll sort out the routine of the show.
It was a bit clunky in presentation, but whe should be happy that sportsbikes are taking a leading role.
The mechanical tips section could be good aswell. Some of us aren't really as mechanically minded as others and have never pulled a spark plug out, let along checked the valve clearances etc! We may learn something.
I'm sure the presenters will work out a level of criticism to give the bikes. One thing I like about Top Gear presenters is they do give some of the cars bad reviews, for whatever reason.
Bikelife will have a lot more integrity if they tell it like it is and not give into the companies that sponsor them.
Keep it up.

Bike Life seems to have disappeared (or have I just lost it?) but Cycle Torque is still on (tonight at 6.30pm, Channel 4ME).
