Like the bike but I don't like the price.

No electric starter will put a lot of non-purests off what is sure to be a great little bike.

Nothing wrong with a kicker. My DRZ 400 takes some getting used of to get it to start with the kick starter.  I actually installed it as a back up to the e start as its let me down before.

I don't see any point to that bike other than an inner city commuter to be honest.

A bloke I work with had a SR500 on historic reg as well as his normal ride. Every year he loads it into his ute and take it to the national SR Club rally, last year he won best original SR

Given the cult bike status of SR500s and SRX6s and the popularity of the SRX400 as a grey import,  it was going to happen.

Manual decompressor and piston position indicator should make a breeze to start.  One would wonder whether either is really necessary, but if they expect people to kick it to life, then I suppose they'd want to make it easy.

thats a nice RD/RZ yamaha indeed. The style and lines of the tank and seat are great and it gets back to the basics of motorcycle riding.

Classic bikes are growing in popularity so I think now is the time to get one before the prices go through the roof.

I've been looking at Suzuki GS 650, GN250, TU 250x, Honda CB125E, CB250, GB400, CB750, Yamaha SR500, XS650?, Kawasaki W800 as just a few that could be cool to customize a little into cafe racers??

The question is, do I spend little and put money into restoring one or do I spend a bit more on a bike already done and then just ride and maintain it??? I'm leaning towards one that is already done!

The smaller the better as I am not concerned about the speed of the thing, rather just to have a nice pleasant ride and handling. So i am in no rush!

That looks a hell of a lot better than the standard boring white RD350LC!
