How sweet it is....

Post  TropoBone on Sat 29 Mar 2014, 11:34 pm

You gotta love a Bandit.
Stopped at the lights.
Three lanes. Couple of km to the next set, no intersection, 100km/h limit.
Honda Fireblade complete with dude in racing leathers pulls up on the left.
V8 ute pulls up on the right.
Ute boy eyeballs the 'blade and blips his throttle, 'blade eyeballs ute boy and crouches forward.
Light goes green.
Clutch out, feed it in. 1st gear to 7k. 2nd gear to 7k.
Fireblade in my left mirror.
V8 ute in my right mirror.
 Razz

And after 60 feet what happened?
The blade does 100+ in first.
You'd hold the ute to 100km/h but you honestly believe you out dragged a Fireblade?

Oh Welcome Smile

C'mon 2wheelsagain, whose side you on?  Let me tell my story, its true, I'm sticking to it and it makes a few guys here smile Razz

Outdid a 'blade? Maybe not.

You has some equipment, and you has an operator.

Me on a Bandit outdid a dude on a 'blade, and he was in my mirror way past 20 metres (60' in old language).

Equipment x Operator = Result

You put a zero in somewhere, you get zero result!

Bikes, hand tools, guitars, golf clubs.... zeros with money buying great equipment = zero result

I can back you up with your story. I beat an 08 blade to around 350m and then it over took me to win by a bike length or two at the Perth Motorplex

I believe ya mate, dosent matter what u ride (blade or whatever) or drive, its not the vehicle that matters, in the real world its the riders skill on that machine that tells! EG. limp wristed noobish wana be on a blade would be absolutley trounced by an experienced and determined bandit pilot at the stop light drag race, EASILY IMO, and as for the V8 tin top, really BWHAAA HAAAA HHAR *100, who gives a fuck about that missguided individual, so obviously clearly delusional thinking they could beat a dertimined postie bike across the intersection drag race is a joke of mammoth proportions, without even considering out draggng a well ridden bandit . (or even a out dragging a noobish limp wristed blade rider for that matter) cheers  lol!

haha...thats funny cause its not me.

As for the original subject, a bandit will almost always beat a sports bike nearly to 200m mark, after that no way.

I`ve had multiple runs against my mates R1, and I always beat him to that point.

Problem with a sports bike, is, its not a drag bike!!  getting power to the ground is the problem,

Given the weight of the bike, and the power, they just want to lift

in "street trim", you got to either.. 1 try and feed it...2 slip the clutch....3 short shift...4 be a shit hot ridder...and I`m sure there`s more!
