Not right yet ?

Ever set of pr2's and pr3s I have had last well but are always shagged in the middle way before the sides .Even after 5,000 kls in Tasmania (all corners)
still the dreaded flat spot in the middle .To me the softer compound needs to come around more to the center of the tire .
Ive got plenty of tread left but its the wrong shape like \_/. From upright to lean is now awkward (as expected )
I don't think this duel compound thing is as good as it sounds ,or it could be better .
And no ,I'm not willing to launch myself of the edge of Tasmania to get them this shape  U . I saw someone try that ,bang ,crssssss,bang ,crash ,break
trip over for someone .

Ive checked out used bike tires at the bike shops ,all the same \_/

Maybe try the Angel GT Gus - haven't heard a report from them on a Bandit.

I have done about 10K on the Angel GT, and not seeing the usual flat spot appearing so far.

I don't think you will ever wear out a tyre evenly on the road, even in Tassie a fair amount of the time is spent near upright.  You can even it up by using the race track as sandpaper though!

What pressure do you run in the rear Gus ?

I have experienced the same thing with Pirelli pilot power2's on my gsxr 750 m and have swapped to Dunlop qualifiers for this very reason, they seem to be lasting ok, and wearing evenly so far as well. I've only done about 2500 Kms on the qualies so far and I really like them a lot, lots of grip and surprisingly long lasting, I'm not to sure if they have a dual compound or not?

Jim Coleman's newish Dunlops were looking pretty good on Sunday.
My PR3 is wearing much better already than the PR2 it replaced but I'm running the pressures bang on 42 for the first time.
I expect with a full load on anything under that would produce wear faster. Speed and weight has a lot to do with tyre life as does road surface material.

I chatted with the Pirelli man at the Bike Expo last weekend. Of course he was telling me how great the Angel GTs were.  But they do seem to be on the right track ( no pun intended )  with the way the compounds are situated. Maybe tempted to try a pair out next change.

Maybe the extra weight didn't help . I got out the electric plainer    and got rid of he edge the flat section rolls onto .
