Replay XD1080
Wondering if any bandits have the Replay XD 1080 bike camera.
It's the small cylindrical one. Reviews seem to be pretty good, but I expect it is inferior to the Go Pro. It's around $280 - $310.

Re: Replay XD1080
I wouldn't say its inferior to the GoPro. It wont be as good as the GoPro Black but equal to the white and close to the silver.
I had a look at this little camera and from the youtube footage i saw and reading the specs i was impressed.
If you want to buy a action camera and the budget is tight the replay 1080 would be a good choice or the Contour roam 2

Re: Replay XD1080
Thanks Jim, I like the compact shape of the XD1080.
I'm interested in a camera but not sure how useful it would be - never owned one - so don't want to invest heaps at this stage.
What I know is that I see some amazing sights on my trips, beautiful light, views etc and think it would be great to capture them.
Will do a bit more investigation.
Cheers GG

Re: Replay XD1080
If your looking for that alround sports camera ie bike, surf, kyaking etc theni recommend the gopro silver. The black is better but the silver is a good balance. It takes great video, standard photos, burst photos and time lapse
I went to thailand and hong kong last year and shot the whole thing on a gopro black and a iphone. I do professional video as in commercial and wedding video and i cannot fault the gopro as a great second camera actually i have 3 thats how much i like them.
Some of the others you could look at is of course the replay, sonys new model i think is called the aw100, drift hd ghost, contour roam, garmin, and of course the gopro
As a allrounder the gopro is the go. I hope that helps

Re: Replay XD1080
Thanks a lot Jim.
Yes, from my research the GoPro seems the best - amazing what can be done with them.
It's all about commitment of $ to something that I haven't tried yet, though getting what you pay for probably applies.
Cheers, BB
