First topic message reminder :

It would seem that I only got about 210-220km out of a tank yesterday (from full, to 1 fuel bar showing fuel pump symbol flashing), is this typical? Im 93kg 5'11" and travel mostly at 3500-4000rpm in top gear with the odd 90% throttle and down a gear passes thrown in, but only for a few seconds at a time though. One must be diligent in speedo watching to keep a licence in central Queensland. (cops can fully hide their shit in the long grass, at the bottom of hills, where ever they want to up here with NO SIGNAGE) Sad

Wow 350! I'm lucky to get to 200km... I think I need a nice Sunday ride into the hills.

My Diesel Dualis gets better fuel economy than my GSX1250

I've never seen better than 325 on my bike. That was in stock trim. I'm also not a fan of pushing a 220kg bike to the next fuel station.

@jimcoleman my wife's vw jetta TDI is the same doing 5l per hundred. It is boring to drive and kills the environment with its NOX output Smile

Just looking at your signature... Maybe you should consider returning it to stock  Twisted Evil

Just ran thru my first tank since I got the Bandit.  Had 240km on the clock when I noticed the last bar flashing, so I went in to fill her up.  Put in 13.9 liters, so it's clear that when the last bar flashes there is still quite alot of fuel in the tank.  In theory that will give me over 328km of range if I base it on 19 liters (not sure if all the fuel can actually be picked up by the pump).  The bike has a carbon Yoshi pipe on it with the sound suppressor fitted.  Question is - would the original pipe give me better fuel economy?

Too many variables............it depends if you are commuting , touring , or really giving it a fist full ................all up though , probably it wouldn't make much difference ...............just enjoy the noise if that is your thing .

That economy is about right for mixed riding in 5th or 6th

Yeah sounds about right, I was only getting 150 to 170ks before I got rid of my PAIR system (stuck partially open), now I get 210-220kms before the blinky thing.

On a trip to Gympie last Easter,  I was counting on 320 (ish), but was game to go to 340 as a matter of course.  My theoretical range was 380 @ 20km/l. (indicated) Mine is an uncorrected speedo, But has produced a "best of" at high 23's on a few occasions, so that is inherently the stuff of lies.

I don't look at the gauge,  only the counter.  The gauge only worries me.  It is so very pessimistic, but useful if one is having a serious fang once in a while out in wide open spaces.  I generally ride pretty conservatively, with little sustained high speed stuff due to the level of scrutiny that is about these days.
