My new RM500
The boss said he was buying me a new RM 500 last week. I was so excited until this monstrosity turned up.
This is a Caterpillar RM500 road stabilizer. I took this photo yesterday , its on the back of my truck on our quad float. It weighs 30tonne combined with a tare weight of 23tonne for the truck and trailer, its a fair load.
Heres the fun part, it has 540hp at 2000rpm with 2356Nm of torque which is slightly less than Hammys Empty-01.

Looks more like a Metzler dual road tyre.

Why would you put PR2's on an RM500 Jim? They're Dunlop 606's.Jimcoleman wrote:Are they pr2 on the back there jimmy
Here is an interesting tyre tale though. On the way down from Mackay we blew two tyres at once on the front axle of the trailer. Limped to the nearest town to the tyre place and the tyre guru checked the pressures in the other tyres. With the heat off the road and the heavy load, they had inflated to a frightening 160psi. He then proceeded to burn himself trying to undo the wheelnuts. She was hot.
