I haven't been doing too many kms and I reckon this rear is buggered after 5000kms I did a quick skid maybe 500kms ago but it was a very short first gear see a bit of smoke and then take off. I am 500kms off the 36000km service so we'll see how long it takes this new BT023 last. I think the lessening tyre life may be due to me getting a little bit prone to attmept power wheel stands of late on the way home from work. i turn off the highway and there is a nice little incline for mayeb 150m that I like to test whether I have the balls to find the balance point. I am getting them up straight now but still lacking hitting second gear Smile

I changed the tyre out today in 40 degree heat in my mate Jimmy Bandits shed, what a bastard, the bloody thing wouldn't mount properly as it kept riding up on the bead on the underside. I was ready to burn it. I only took a single beer when it was probably a 3 - 4 stubby event.

On the chain, I fitted a ScottOiler about 15000 kms ago. I must say it works bloody well, little bit of spatter but the chain has loosened up as previous to the oiler it had a few tight spots. I recommend them for sure. In this summer heat though I have to look at moving to the heavier oil to help with less fling.
