intercom recommendations

Post  Bosco15 on Sat 28 Dec 2013, 12:53 pm

First topic message reminder :

Ok. So getting to the stage in my life where I have given up the boy racers and bought a two up tourer.
Couldn't see myself as a cruiser or BMW nut, so bought the best kept secret tourer,  The Not Bandit.
Next on the old fogies shopping list is an intercom.
I did a search and only came up with two threads.
Has anyone got experience?  Suggestions?  Reviews?  Interested to hear all input.
Cheers.

I've had Q2, G4 and Sena 20s as chook said ok in a full face helmet with the visor down, can't imagine it being any good with an open face helmet though

I have no problems with our Sena Comms even at speeds over 100km. we have Shoei helmets with the chin sock fitted. Only time it gets noisy is when the visor is up.

Thanks for the help guys Smile .
I bought this a few weeks ago..
http://www.zapals.com/electronics/bluetooth-gadgets/waterproof-bluetooth-headset-intercom-motorcycle-helmet-speakers.html
The speakers work well ( I think as this is my first headset) with the phone for music and the info from the Strike GPS unit.
Have not used the mic yet hence my question.
When I do buddy up with a few mates next ride I will see if the mic is near the Sena's quality that I have been advised. If not then a upgrade to the Sena me thinks
Cheers Matt

Ditto with the older Scala, mine has the chin guard, Kaylah's doesn't, neither are effected with the visor down
