It's nice when something good happens to you.

Was surfing around the sites looking at MT-01 stuff for sale and happened upon a set of reworked mufflers on ---tree.  The set I have , have been reworked but I am not 100% happy with the sound . And there is some popping. So I gave the Chap a ring. A nice mature sounding Englishman. He told me the whole story. I asked him a few questions and they seemed to be just what I was after.  ( well their not really. But their for sale , aint they ? )The advertised price was $250. He, Richard, said , look I've got 250 on them but I would be glad to see them go to someone who is going to appreciate them. How about $100 ?  I just about fell off my chair. He also had a BRAND NEW luggage rack, bought from the UK for nearly 200 pounds that I got for $65. All up $210 delivered.  Could not put the money into his account fast enough.  Really made my day.    bounce  bounce  bounce

Good win!

Maybe he had them sitting around for awhile and was just happy to be rid of them

It's a real fun ride Boatz. Looks like a Beast but once your on it and away it just handles like a good bike should. Will get the seat sorted this Saturday morning, and the mufflers and rack I scored should be here tomorrow. If the mufflers do the trick I might not have to do the pairs system. It also has the Yammy Exup system in place so there could be other issues if I had to attack it. If you ever see one in a dealers, take the time to throw your leg over and see what you think.  Everything happens between 2000-5500 rpm, so it is a lot of short shifting, but heaps of fun. Nice smooth gear box. Top gear is very smooth and quiet. Untill you open the tap   Twisted Evil .  100kph is just a touch over 2000rpm.

Received and fitted the new cans yesterday. They are about one inch shorter, and the person that did the mods welded on  titanium end caps and snorkels ( for lack of a better word ). Yes, the whole system on the MT's is Titanium. The ones I bought have had some internal mods also. Only took an hour or so to change over. Refitted the stainless cones onto the ends and I am very happy. 99% of the popping has gone and she still sounds great. Very deep. Off to get the seat redone this morning. Looking forward to the Drake ride.

I have a saying " No good deed goes unpunished" but I'm glad other peoples experience is better than mine.  Laughing

I seem to have the same experiences as you Peter, always seem to get screwed when trying to do a favour. Mad
