New Honda CBR1000RR SP in 2014
From the Bikepoint website:
http://www.bikepoint.com.au/news/2013/road/honda/cbr1000rr-sp/2014-honda-cbr1000rr-sp-39821
The VTR SP1 and SP2 bikes went on to become collectibles and their asking price today is up there - but only because they did what Honda set out to do, ie win a world championship. I suspect this new model will be up around the $24k mark and if you have that sort of cash lurking about you might buy one on speculation of Honda winning WSBK. Hard to imagine it happening in the first year though.

Re: New Honda CBR1000RR SP in 2014
I'd like to see a MotoGP special from the big brands.
Ducati has done some nice models over the recent years.
I think the annual winners of MotoGP or WSBK should release a replica paint scheme every year.
The Italian brands pretty much do SP versions already and its mainly the Jap brands that should do it.
The Honda looks nice.
I would like a Kwaka replica ZX-10 in the old ZXR750 paint scheme from Scott Russell days, as a bit of a reflection back 25 years to Kwaka's only other WSBK win.
Unfortunately , most of my favourite machines from the past had cigarette sponsorship which would be hard to reproduce these days.
Rothmans Honda, Marlboro Yamaha, Gauloise Yamaha, Winfield Honda, Peter Jackson Yamaha, Lucky Strike Suzuki etc etc. Where are the big brands these days sponsoring race teams, the Factory Yamaha squad really
doesn't have a major sponsor do they!!!
