bored, and stuck in a room!!
First topic message reminder :
had shoulder surgery, and stuck In a room, with music, tv, books, and nerd box for companionship. Oh, and the spider web outside that I so desperately want to see go about his business!!
I see a lot of the same users on here, at all hours of the day,
what do you lot do to have constant access here all the time ?
I`d normally be doing tradesman stuff, and don`t even look at the device until dark typically, unless RDO, to kill a bit of time!
hey, I`m bored!

Re: bored, and stuck in a room!!
Hope the recovery is going well
Shoulder surgery sucks (still recovering 18 months on ) I had an arthroscopic decompression with a cuff repair and 2 tendons re-attached to the shoulder blade
This was only 1 month after an operation on the same arm for an ulna nerve release with transposition (from same accident )
8 weeks in a sling 6 months in the gym daily and 3 weeks of intensive rehab to be left with a 30% permanent disability and constant burning sensations in the nerve and only 14 kg grip strength in the right dominant hand (used to be 68 ish Kg grip )
Still able to do most things but some things need a new way of thinking and doing
Just another hurdle in the journey of life
But I hear you about the sitting in a room with limited ability to do anything gets old real quick
all the best with the recovery
James
moral of my story ...........don't fall off the side of the truck and land on a steel edge with your elbow as the contact point

Re: bored, and stuck in a room!!
The Kwaka is going great except the spring in the cam chain tensioner is no longer springy and does not tension automatically any more
have to do it manually by pushing the plunger in with a small metal rod
new one ordered $150 later ex japan
I put new michelin PR2 tires on it much better
Fitted a scottoiler
Fitted new fork seals and cleaned the insides of the forks out properly new 5w fork oil (factory spec for "F"model )
Bought new morgan carbtune (HE HE HA HA ) and balanced the carbs after rebuilding them runs much nicer now just need that tensioner to shut it up (should be here monday )
And just as I get it fully sorted the wet season seems to be arriving
Still needing to calibrate the brain as to how much faster it steers over the bandit and the amount of feedback from the front end
the rear shock is feeling a bit old now the front is fresh ( BUT it is a servicable unit and can be rebuilt for $300 by the dealer ) all new seals and oil and a re-gas should sort it out along with a new spring if money allows
sorry for the thread hi-jack
