Anyone doing the Farride to Nambucca Heads this weekend?

yep, heading out 4am Saturday for my first FarRide!
Will also be my biggest day; 630km a few weeks ago as a warm up being my present largest.

I've allowed plenty of fat in the timing, & the wets are already to go too

yeah, have gotten wet every wetbucca ride. i won't be there this year, too close to tassie for me, and i need all the sheckles i can scrape together for it. plus im trying to get the fjr back on the road again after the engine rebuild

had a good run on this yesterday - it only got wet from Nabiac south heading home!
the only downer being when I stupidly locked my keys under the seat at Taree. duh!
I can recommend a good locksmith if you're in the area

Looked like there were bigger numbers for the weekend's ride compared to Bemm River - maybe about 20 more. Did the lunch stop work out ok?

PS: Bummer about the keys - makes me think I should be carrying a spare in the wallet.

I didn't stay for lunch, & left just after 1pm. There were over 100 riders + pillions registered, so the road was jam packed with parked bikes (2 deep in parts!).

Still feeling bloody stupid over the keys. As soon as I heard the seat click shut I realised what I'd done. dumb. real dumb. Fortunately it didn't cost me the run!

always carry a spare key duct taped somewhere inside the bike fairing etc or in your wallet.

or I could just be more bloody careful!

Won't help you now the keys have returned to their rightful place but I've made it a habbit of leaving the keys in the seat lock whenever I take the seat off. That or back in the ign switch
