How many forum members have got 100,000 kms under their bums on a bandit?  Kms on another bike don't count.

PS: I haven't, but I'm at 62,300 at this time.

PPS: this is not a race.

I put  115,000 kms on my 2005 model between 2005 and 2013.

It included numerous 3000km round trips to Phillip Island for MotoGP, WSBK and Island Classic meets.

All I did was put a Staintune exhaust on it with the rest of the engine standard - even air filter.

It didn't miss a beat and I only upgraded to a new one as I couldnt pass up the deal on the 2010 model I got.

Loved the Air/Oil cooled, carburetter engine and the 6 pot brakes on the front were ripper, braided lines helped with the feel. The new model 4 pot calipers don't have that same bite.

I feel i could have easily put another 100,000 km on it.

My 2010 now has 16,000 km after 15 months of ownership, i had a 3 month lay-off after hurting my leg but average between 200 - 300km on the weekend rides. Work during the weekdays prevents riding unfortunately.

Hoping to put 100,000km on my 2010 and do the "Double ton" on Bandits!!!

I've got a VX800 too, '91 model. Off the road for now, I will put it on red plates next year. It is a great sports tourer, a little too heavy due to shaft drive etc and not as quick as other bikes of the day but great to ride.
It uses the same engine as the VS750/800 which was a naked cruiser also with shaft drive, lower gearing and 40kg lighter the VS makes the VX feel sluggish

This was mine, bought it new in December 1990 and sold it a week before I took delivery of the Bandit in January 2012, this pic was taken about a year befor I sold it with over 90,000km on it and it's still the only one I've ever seen with the Genuine Suzuki optional fairing, not suprised since they retailed at over $500 in 1990 (I got mine for $300), it was a great bike, $7500 on the road and 22 years of relatively trouble free riding

I've never seen one. Much less cruiser shape than the VZ800.

not at all cruiser style, more of a smaller sports tourer style

I've kept the touch up paint I got for it a number of years back, yep, the exact same colour as the Bandit, I reckon the VX might have had a bit more applied in the factory though  Rolling Eyes
