sounds good Gus but a bit far mate ...................most people have jam & cream on their scones, but I suppose duck might work ok    Laughing

I understand "crow eaters" enjoy cucumber sandwiches - YUUUUK! - so duck scones shouldn't be too strange.

Or maybe young fellas like Paul have yet to develop their taste for the exotic. Maybe we should start him on cucumber scones and work up from there.

Being a vego I wouldn't enjoy duck scones anyway.

If you are looking for a variation on scones Gus, try PUFTALOONS (an old Qld recipe)

Gus might mean "to duck " when a scone is thrown in your direction.  tongue

You had me a bit worried with the Puftaloons for a minute....................We here in SA must pronounce it differently . ( thought we might be having a Mardi Gras up at Gus's ) Shocked  Razz

( Not that there would be anything wrong with that .)

We spell it correctly up here.

A FAG in days gone by was slang for a cigarette. Not something you would request these days if you did not want to be misunderstood that is Very Happy

Didn't South Australia have a premier who was one on those (not a cigarette)? There probably are others though not in Queensland.

I recall my last visit to Adelaide in 1967 was to a disco in Rundle Street. Us hoodlums (two EH Holdens full) had just come over the border for the weekend to stir up the locals. We didn't stay. The chicks were very ordinary, we didn't manage to start a fight and the beer was disgusting.

Like our cucumber sandwiches, our beer is for our connoisseur southern tastes Razz  .
Rundle street is now a mall & no longer used as a place to cruise up & down in cars . ...........
All the good looking chicks would have been inside the disco .....................the ugly ones were not allowed in & hung around outside hoping to be picked up by desperate interstate hoons  tongue  Laughing
EH  Holdens in 1967 ................must have been pretty rich upmarket  hoodlums Shocked........( or were they stolen ? )  lol!

I wasn't one of the car owners just a 3rd year apprentice.

I owned a Triumph Thunderbird which used more oil that petrol.

Hi Gus,

I'm sorry I can't make it tomorrow.

I wanted to bring my banjo but I broke a string on it and it sounds terrible with only one string remaining.

I met one of your neighbours the other day. He sure has a nice bike.

Regards,

BanditDave from Zombieland

P.S. I will PM you and organise a day to visit soon
