Hi I'm Jeremiah

Post  jeremiahhix on Thu 04 Jul 2013, 11:12 pm

I just got my first Bandit 1200 a couple months ago. Loving it so far, looking forward to getting into some discussions on here about them. I'm in the U.S. so my street and bike laws differ from yours some but I'm sure we can work around all that. Thank you and I look forward to getting to know some fellow Bandit riders!

Welcome, Jeremiah.

You're not the only one on the Forum that rides on the wrong side of the road, but that hasn't been a problem so far. Smile

Hi and welcome along. I will ask the obvious.  Are you a "Bullfrog " ?   Anyway.  The 1200 is a great bike. I had one.  The 1250 is even a little greater. Check out Dale Walkers Holeshot Performance website. Any mods or is it still standard ?  Post up a pic ASAP.  Enjoy.

What's been done to the Bandit so far:

Post  jeremiahhix on Fri 05 Jul 2013, 12:49 pm

It has a cam, been re-jetted, big bore kit, strait pipe off the exhaust, pulling somewhere in the neighborhood of high 140's HP, dyno is reading around 147 HP.

Love to hear how that pipe sounds. Wouldn't get away with it in the Nanny Country of Downunder

Welcome JH. You have finally come of age. All your middle east postings were only to prepare you for the battles that rage here from time to time. We even talk Bandits sometimes Laughing

Now for the rest of you JH is a mate of mine. Break him in gently or you'll have me to deal with affraid

So I hear~  It sounds absolutely wonderful, everyone compliments me on how good it sounds.  I'll have to upload a video of it sometime.  We can cut loose here in America on our bikes.  Unless we are going quite a bit over the speed limit and causing danger to others they dont really do much to us.  Most bikes are left alone anyways, most of them just run off and leave the police cars.  Most people only get a ticket when they get pulled over.  Hence all the loud fast bikes and cars.

Welcome Jeremiah,

The USA is definitely a destination I will get to one day.

As MadMax says, we live in a "Nanny Country" down here.

Australia is a GREAT PLACE to live generally, but we have a law for everything & common sense is forbidden.
I bet you don't get booked for doing 44kph in a 40kph zone over there. In fact, I bet you don't even have 40kph zones over there.Mad
(I do realise you run in MPH)

Down here, you can Murder, Rape & Pillage, & can expect a very stern 'SLAP ON THE WRIST', but don't even think about doing 20k's over the limit.
For that, YOU GET LIFE!!!!!!! Shocked

Its Friday & I must be tired & Grumpy?????

Anyway, welcome to the forum Mate.....

May I ask how much you paid for your 1200 Jer' ?   Our government loves to tax us to the hilt in every way it can. I look at the prices of some of the toys that you Americans can buy in the USA and weep.  Crying or Very sad

I actually traded for it. The guy paid $4700 for it a few months before I got it. He was scared of it. I got a good deal all in all.
