Went for a last minute ride to do the alpine way. stayed at Cooma on friday night, on saturday took the Snowy Hwy to Kiandra

and then down the hill and back up on the Elliot Way, into Cabramurra and the down the hill across the Tumut Pond dam ... then the road was closed due to bushfires. So I retraced my steps to Cooma and them made my way down to the coast at Bega.
this should be familiar to someone,

Clever you even managed to reproduce the rain in the photo. Laughing

How the heck do you need more gear than can fit in those panniers? lol!

Warning: I'm going to make it rain in the Southern Highlands for 4 days from the 20th like I did last year Very Happy

I certainly can relate to the Piper's Lookout photo Baz - Brown Mountain was absolutely fogged in last Sunday arvo/evening, with traffic crawling along at 30 - 40 kmph. There was subsequently about 4mm of drizzle down Bemboka way. I assume you had the boots taped up? Wink

An interesting comment Baz re the pies - I've been very disappointed with their products on the last two visits and am going to the new cafe next time.
