Saddest thing I ever reed.
Reason was "I'm selling it to buy a touring bike". Seriously the Bandit has 32,000ks on it and been the the best touring mile muncher. I guess it's a matter of how keen your are to tour. I once rode from Singleton to Brisbane one weekend on a TS 185 Suzuki. Touring is just a matter of ride what you got. It's not about what to ride, its the ride itself thats the adventure.

Hard to know GSF. Maybe the person you quoted meant they wanted a dual sport, ie Adventure-tourer for a bit of Long Way Home riding. Not enough info to really tell. Baz sold his Bandit for a more luxurious BMW lounge chair! Or maybe they were after a Goldwing.

Saddest thing
It turned out he wanted something with a fairing. I don't think I would sell my bike for that reason.
The Bandit is such a good all round bike.

I rode to the Gold Coast once on my yammy 500 single ... the vibrations running up my arms was killing me .. never again did I do a long trip on that bike.

I'm still keen and in the next few weeks before it's too cold to do a ride from the Blue Mts up to 'Gumma' (Near Macksville) via inland roads. .. Around 950kms I think. Had to put the ride off a couple of times last year as other things got in the way... just now I need to get some new tyres before going anywhere..
