WAY BACK WHEN
This is a bit of "when I were a lad!"
[img][/img]
Its a B model GS550 built for the Adelaide Advertiser 3 hr prod race she was crashed in practice and never used.
I got her and road as an everyday + club days at Malala Raceway and Lobathal bike.
It took everything I threw at it and never let me down and its also one of the reasons I got the new Bandit a lots changed but there's a familiar feel to it too.

and this was my other old flame 1974 Duke 450 and the seating position is probably why i cant ride sports bike now!

Re: WAY BACK WHEN
Well, I was hesitant to post a non bandit photo on this forum but as its been done.
Here is my old GPZ900R 1986 model, I bought it in 1989 and offloaded it in 1996, but it did serve me well on many trips to the Gold Coast.
I'm sure some of you have heard of the term "tank slapper" well this slapped me many times. When parked in the rain the leftmost sparkplug well would fill up with water.
and then after a few years bikeless I thought I was too old and needed something more comfortable .. but still chose the wrong bike, not comfortable and no grunt,

Re: WAY BACK WHEN
I knew I shouldn't have admitted to owning a korean heap of shit.
In my defence, I only wanted a commuter .. then I started to ride it on weekends and it immediately came to light that this isn't for me.

In 20 years time I'm likely to still have the Bandit. Particularly if my wife's taste in motorbikes doesn't change. Ducati's are a good bike, but jeez they can be expensive to own.
I'm too embarresed to post up pictures of my first two bikes (GN250 and GR650). Thankfully, I didn't have a digital cameral then, and I think I've lost the photo's.

I didn't put my fist bikes up either, though I shouldn't be that fussed about it but lets just say I'm impressed with the way camera's have evolved!
I do wish that I'd understood a little more about photography but who would of guessed we would have been doing this sort of stuff in 1975!
which is when I started out on bikes!LOL

Re: WAY BACK WHEN
My first bike was a Yamaha YDS250E. (1966) Painted in a deep metalic red, hence my love for cherry, red or burgundy coloured bikes!
This was the first road registered 250 to do a genuine 100mph. Ran low 15's at the drags stock but well tuned and running steel struts instead of shocks at the rear. I used it for a couple of years as transport, until I found it easier to get sex in the back seat of a warm dry car. Sorry no photo, look it up on the net.

Did you mean the bike or back-seat sex?

My first was a RD250 it had drum brakes and I still attribute my cornering ability s to this bike as it used to run out of brakes and you just learned to corner quicker or come off!

Re: WAY BACK WHEN
Very funny!!! A photo of sex would be a lot easier to find on the net than one of a YDS5E?
