Howdy - Brisbane Bayside
Howdy all,
just found this forum would you believe. Had my 2004 Bandit 1200SZ Limited Edition for a couple of years now. Have done a bit of work to it, and currently in the middle of a 1216 big bore upgrade. The bike will have a Gary Dye ported head, web .370 lift cams, wiseco 11:1 pistons (with the head decked .040 for approx 12:1 overall comp ratio) and a full exhaust.
Plan to be putting it all together in a month or so. I am hopeful of somewhere between 140-150hp at the wheel, with bulk torque to go along with it.
Hope to chat to a few of you in the near future.
Cheers,
GM

Welcome aboard GM - your mods sound like they'll provoke a heap of comments if past posts are anything to go by. Bring it on, it should be a hoot.

Re: Howdy - Brisbane Bayside
Yeah I'm really looking forward to it.
Only things I have left to source are o-rings and gaskets for a few odds and ends, and a header of some description - either a cheap one off ebay that I manage to stumble across (not delkevic though), or I'll have to drop the cash on a holeshot.
Green Machine refers to my first bike - metallic green CBR250RR Babyblade. I used the name on a CBR forum at the time, and have used it ever since. I do own a kwaka, but it's a KLR (aka the incredible hulk). I inherited it from my brother in law after he hit a cow on it. I bent a few parts back straight and Bob's your aunty - free bike!
Cheers,
GM
